The OIT-PMO provides project management support to the OIT functional units (e.g. Telecommunications, Enterprise Applications) and University stakeholders (i.e. academic and administrative departments). The PMO will work as primary liaison between the OIT functional teams and other University stakeholders and will coordinate activities in support of project initiatives. For these projects the PMO will lead activities ranging from project inception (proposal development, scope definition, time/cost estimates) to detailed planning/scheduling, to solution delivery, to project closure. The PMO can also provide strategic planning, tactical planning, and other project portfolio management services to the Rutgers CIO and other stakeholders. Finally, the PMO, upon request, can provide a variety of project management tools and techniques to those in the University community who desire to establish or enhance their own project management competency.
